Foodel was founded by four students from Trinity Hall, which is an all-girls high school in the Catholic tradition, currently located in Leonardo, New Jersey. They created Foodel for a project proposed by Georgetown University, specifically for the "Ethics in Action" program. More specifically, Trinity Hall partnered with the Kent Place School of Summit, New Jersey and Georgetown University to find an ethical solution to issues involving food. All four girls are current residents of Monmouth County and the topic that they chose for the project is food waste. They are passionate about preventing food waste while also helping feed those in need. The girls are excited to be apart of this program and are eager to potentially benefit the community of Monmouth County.
